Task I
Orlan and Art
The criteria for assessing are:
Complete task(most students lost points because they didn't answer all questions) – Cohesion and coherence – Grammar and lexis
Most people’s problem is that the task is incomplete & some grammar problems. Some people didn't make major changes last week. However, I decided to be slightly more lenient.
second revision & final mark 4 task.

Today
Dear all:
today you will have 2 tasks Today task will be marked so make sure you concentrate and do them both.
Your first task is to look at the previous market post (on art) and make sure you did both tasks. Secondly, I'd like you to check the grammar, spelling, coherence and task on both texts.
.
As a teacher you become involved with your students. To be honest guys, I am a bit sad of how you are reacting to classes in general. I may joke and sometimes be laid back but that does not mean I am not paying attention or concerned about your performance. As I said it to you today I was really shocked when I gave you a reading to do. You did the reading, the grammar activity and did not look for the meaning of the main word in the article. Last week I photocopied some material for you, explained it in class, sent it to you by mail, and realised this morning only 3 or 4 of you had actually done it. No replies to my e mails, etc.
Your second task is to write about how you feel about the classes in general, but looking at it from both angles.
Do you think this tendency is shared by young people or is it just you?
Why are you feeling so demotivated?
What is wrong with the classes and what is not working on your part that you are not learning as much as you should?
Miniumum 150 words. 3 comments.

Is this art?
Dear all:
This week's post will be marked. Make sure you answer all the questions.
This week we will talk about art. There are two tasks to do. First of all, I'd like you to open wordreference.com and have a look at the video below. This is the performance artist you read about in the book. I would like you to watch the video and give me your opinion.
What do you think of her performance of being paid to give a kiss? How did it change her career? What do you think of her idea of art as a message to society? Do you agree with her statement on narcissism and exhibitionism and artists?
What is your opinion of her as an artist?
Task II
Regarding art in general:
What is your favorite piece of art? (Remember art is much more than paintings!)
When did you last see it, hear it?
What struck your attention?
Write at least 220 words on BOTH tasks. 3 comments to your classmates during class.

"Pull your socks up, guys"

Dear all:
After having read the article (which I hope you did!), you'll have to agree that this piece of news is apalling. We are all aware of the critic condition of Education in our country for the past 40 years. However, when we are faced with the facts (Test Inicia) we can't help having mixed feelings about the future of our country.
This post is based on the article you read and your opinions, neither on its own.
Reflect on the following:
What are the main points of the article you read?
As an ex school student. Do you feel identified with the reality that many children experience at school today (referring to the teacher's quality)? Why? why not?
Regarding those responsible for the current situation. Who do you feel is to blame for the "unqualified teachers" teaching today?
As a future teacher. Do you think you'll be different from those teachers who cannot give answers to the students? How? Why? Why not?
What concrete actions are you taking today to become a "good" teacher in your area of expertise?
After your readings on policies and reflections on educational practice, what can be done to change the educational reality in our country?
Write a minimum of 270 words (today, Wedensday). And at least 3 comments on your classmates blogs by Thursday. This task wil be graded on its own.

GREAT WEBSITE!!

Dear students:
Do you know any brilliant English learning websites? I do. It's the BBC, and it rocks.
Today task is to visit:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/
Take a look around, You can have a look at "wordmaster", words in the news(this is a great category to check world news, learn vocab and listen at the same time), pronunciation, face up to phrasal (very appropriate) or even watch the flatmates(soap opera) , "beat the keeper", to name but a few. (Use the headphones to listen)
this is a great opportunity to practice.
Write a review of the site of at least 190 words, please. Your opinion on the site in general. Specific activities.
Don't forget to post comments on at least 3 of your classmates AND the teacher's

Here you have some questions to look at and develop some ideas. Minimum 200 words.
Please answer the questions below as one text and NOT as individual questions. Today's task includes a minimum of 3 comments on your classmates' blogs.

http://www.wordreference.com/
Where were you when it happened?
How did you feel?
How did you react?
How did the people around you react?
Others you could think of…
Did your property or your relatives’ suffer any damage?
Do you think this earthquake shook more than concrete structures?
How do you react now when there are aftershocks?
How has your conception of earthquakes changed after February 27th?
Add any other info you would like to.
